We like to be straight with our community, so this felt like the right time to share a proper update on where Ex-Display Marketplace is at and where we are heading next.
2025 was a slower year than planned
There is no getting around it. 2025 was a slower year for Ex-Display Marketplace.
Traffic dipped, development slowed, and quite simply, we did not have the resources available to execute the strategy roadmap we had originally set out. That meant fewer new categories, fewer articles, and less consistency across the site and social channels than we would have liked.
Rather than push out half-finished updates or stretch ourselves too thin, we made the call to pause, take stock, and protect the quality of what already existed.
It was not ideal, but it was the sensible decision.
Why we are comfortable saying this out loud
Ex-Display Marketplace has always been about smart decisions, not rushing for the sake of appearances. The same logic applies behind the scenes.
We would rather be transparent than quietly neglect the platform or pretend everything is moving at full speed. If you noticed fewer updates last year, you were not imagining it.
Being open about that allows us to reset properly and move forward with clarity.
2026 is about rebuilding momentum properly
2026 is where we get back on the front foot.
We are returning with a more realistic, sustainable approach that focuses on steady improvements rather than big promises. That includes:

Keeping our social media channels active and useful, not noisy

Gradual site improvements rather than disruptive overhauls
The goal is consistency. Small, visible improvements that add up over time.
What will not change
Even during a quieter period, our core values stay the same.
We remain focused on ex-display and clearance stock from trusted retailers. We still care about quality, transparency, and helping people find genuine value, not false bargains.
We are not interested in flooding the site with low-quality listings or chasing short-term traffic spikes. Everything we add in 2026 will earn its place.
