Condition and What to Check
This stove is an ex-display model, meaning it has spent time on a showroom floor and has been used for demonstration purposes. The seller reports light usage and describes it as a lovely stove. As with any second-hand appliance, inspect the door seal, glass panel, and internal firebricks before installation. Confirm that the grate and baffle plate are present, and check the cast iron body for cracks or damage caused by handling.
Buyer Guidance
Ex-display stoves typically cost far less than brand new units because they are end-of-line stock or have minor surface marks. This is a chance to own a quality British-made stove without paying full retail. Always have the stove installed by a qualified installer and comply with current building regulations. If you are replacing an existing fireplace, measure your chimney opening and flue size before purchase.
