This Connubia by Calligaris New York counter stool is a genuine piece of Italian furniture, offered here as an ex-display showroom model in mint condition. The design features a curved crescent backrest, a wide cushioned seat, and a mirror-polished chrome sled base with an integrated footrest. Model CB1087/P4655.
Design and materials
The seat is upholstered in Calligaris's premium Taupe Skuba material, a hard-wearing synthetic leather with a soft, smooth feel. It is wrapped over a polyurethane foam core, so the stool offers comfortable support without any visible sagging. The chrome frame is heavy-duty, bright, and free from rust or pitting, with clear floor protectors built into the base. No assembly is required.

Buying an ex-display stool
Showroom pieces are used only for floor display, which means they are handled carefully but may have been sat on by shoppers. This example is described as immaculate: the chrome is bright with no rust, and the upholstery is tight, unmarked, and free from cracks or fading. Ex-display and end-of-line stock is typically offered at a lower price than new retail stock because it has been superseded or is no longer in a standard box, not because of visible damage. As with any ex-display item, measure your counter height and seat depth to confirm it suits your space. The 65 cm seat height is a standard counter stool measurement and works with typical kitchen islands and breakfast bars.
