Its apex possesses six embossed regal edges, and at the very top of the design is a three tier centrepiece to add to its classical character. The lantern has a hexagonal shape, synonymous with illuminating streets in England and France during the 19th century. It also includes a ladder bar for decorative purposes, with lamplighters in the 18th and 19th centuries using them to rest their ladders on to light up the lantern. At the base of this lamp post is a cast iron base, featuring a classical leaf motif to retain its historical feeling.
